Hi, I’m Renee Blanchard, a Louisiana native with a passion for knowledge and a personal understanding of what it's like to experience pain and discomfort every day. After having my own autoimmune and connective tissue disorders diagnosed, I jumped into the research. I needed to learn how I could make choices that would support my body and make me feel good. That’s why I decided to pursue a degree in dietetics while supporting my community at the Church Alley Cafe during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

I’ve always worked in restaurants and my role as owner and executive chef at Church Alley Cafe has been the biggest blessing in my chronic disease nutrition education. I’ve talked with so many of our customers about I've spoken with so many of our customers about how the food they eat impacts their health. Through changing and evolving our menu I’ve enjoyed introducing my community to what a healthy meal can look and taste like - and it tastes good. Engaging with my community to create healthy food options at Church Alley sparked my drive to bring my knowledge to an even larger community.

My Journey To Become Your Nutrition Coach

I’ve earned a bachelor's degree in dietetics from Nicholls State University, and I’m working on my Master of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Texas Tech University. I’m also a Girls Gone Strong certified Menopause Coaching Specialist. Supported by information from the world's only comprehensive, evidence-based, interdisciplinary menopause coaching certification, I know how much of an impact menopause can have on our daily lives - and how to help.

I’m using all of my training to help people who need support. Whether you have an autoimmune disease or heart disease, are going through menopause, or just need science-based nutrition coaching. Sometimes we all need a little support to reach our goals- I’m here for you.
